Two Breweries 2011

Team Moorfoot  - Two Breweries 2011
After the recent spell of mixed weather, Saturday stayed fair and it was actually quite warm in the glens while breezy on the tops - ideal weather for this years Two Breweries Race.

The under foor conditions were perhaps slightly wetter and slipper than you might expect at this time of year, but it didn't seem to affect the race times too much.

Tom Hobbs, racing his first Breweries Race, led the Moorfoots home in an impressive 3:16(14th), closely followed by Wull (3:17 16th) in a closely fought race.

Mike McG, starting to come back to form, followed in in 3:25 (23rd) and was pleased with his race.
Kenny and Colin had a closely fought battle, Kenny reversing last years result in 3:38 (37th) to Colin's 3:44 (40th).
Julia, running in her 40th SHR race of the year, brought the Moorfoots home in 3:46 (43rd).
Full results and analysis on the really rather good Scottish Hill Racing website...
Lots of tired legs afterwards but we still managed to hobble along to the Broughton Village Hall for refreshments and a blether before the return drive home.
Another grand day out, and top marks again to Pete Baxter and his team of helpers for putting on another great race.

Porties' blog on this years race here... including some good pics

Lots of good SHR photos of the race here by Ian Nimmo...
(including the one of me simulating running at the top a Trahenna !!)
