Clear blue skys, wall to wall sunshine, snow covered park, a mixture of frozen and soft mud and a big hill - what's not to like for a winter cross country race.

Record fields* again, with ~220 seniors and ~80+ juniors on a picture postcard Haylodge Park. A slight course change in the Southpark fields to by pass a nailed closed gate, but pretty much the standard Peebles XC route.

Carnethy's Mike Reid was clear winner over the tricky four mile course in 26:30 with Carnethy's Charlotte Morgan home as first lady in 30:14

Well done too, to Moorfoots Russell (31:13) and Brian Hood (37:57)

A big thanks to all the marshalls and helpers both on the day and behind the scenes - it was a cold day for marshalling, but well appreciated by the runners and the series organisers.....
