We are planning a social club run on Sun 4th Jan from Broughton to Peebles following the John Buchan Way route.
The route is around 12 miles following a well marked hill path most of the way. There are a number of climbs along the route and you will be going up to around 400m in elevation so suitable all weather gear is essential. Depending on numbers we will probably split into 2 groups (steady + very steady). Expect to be out for over 2hours and be self sufficient for food/water.
Plan is to meet at Kings Meadow Car Park at 9:30am Sun morning where we can share transport - aiming for a 10am departure from Broughton. If anyone prefers to meet at the Broughton end there is a small car park up at Broughton Place.
There will be refreshments (soup + roll) on offer at the Balfour's house (17 Craigerne Crescent) at the end - all are welcome to come along!
